New CONNECTION Recovery Support Group Starting in Mason County Monday, April 1st, 2019
NAMI Thurston-Mason, our local organization of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, will begin offering an evening NAMI Connection Recovery Support Group beginning Monday,  April 1, 2019.  This evening group will meet the 1st and 3rd Monday’s of the month at the Shelton Civic Center, (meeting room #1), 6:00pm-7:30pm,  525 W Cota St, Shelton, WA 98584.

What is the NAMI Connection Recovery Support Group Program?

NAMI Connection is a recovery support group program that offers respect, understanding, encouragement and hope for people living with a mental illness.  

NAMI Connection Groups Are:

  • Free and confidential
  • Held 1st and 3rd Monday evenings for 90 minutes
  • Designed to connect, encourage, and support participants using a structured support group model
  • Led by trained facilitators living in recovery themselves

NAMI Family Support Group is a peer-led support group for any adult with a loved one who has experienced symptoms of a mental health condition. Gain insight from the challenges and successes of others facing similar experiences.  NAMI  Family Support Groups Are:

  • Free to participants
  • Held 1st and 3rd Monday evenings for 90 minutes
  • Designed for adult loved ones of people with mental health conditions
  • Led by family members of people with mental health conditions
  • No specific medical therapy or treatment is endorsed
  • Confidential
